Movie Comment: The Perfect Catch(2005)

Today was a typical Sunday where I spend most of my time watching TV because it rained all day long!

Ok, switching channels all the time and hey, she's Drew Barrymore! Alright, stop for a while to watch this movie because I liked her performance.

Then, I read the plot summary for Fever Pitch (or The Perfect Catch as it appeared on the TV) before I decided whether I would continue to switch channel or not!
It's about a teacher, Ben Wrightman(Jimmy Fallon) fell in love with a workaholic Lindsey Meeks(Drew Barrymore). Will their romance last when Lindsey discovers Ben's obsession with base ball team, Boston Red Sox? The story is based on Nick Hornby's novel "Fever Pitch".

The movie is funny, lovable and quite realistic when it comes to solving problems that arrises when two get together along the way.

Which part of the movie touches me the most?
It's when Lindsey said to Ben(Sorry, I can't remember the whole line but it sound something like this), "If you love me enough to give it up for me, then I can say that I love you enough to not let you give it up for me!"

Whoa, that's great!

When I'm watching The Perfect Catch, I was thinking: if I'm Lindsey, I would turn Ben down right away when I found out he was too obsessed with the base ball team, and when he made me feel embarassed infront of my parents and others! I'm the type that jumps to conclusion quickly when I discovers one's weaknesses.

So, would the ending of this movie belongs to me? Certainly NOT!

True love, in reality, is just all about the acceptance and sharing of sacrifice and tolerance between each other. Without acceptance and tolerance, there wouldn't be any true love. And if there should be any chemistry sparkle between each other, it won't last long either!

That is what I learned from Lindsey and Ben in The Perfect Catch today!
Not a boring day after all!
Thank you for the great story in The Perfect Catch!

Being Addicted to...!

Are you expecting replies or responses when you own one of these?

I knew I did!

Handphone:

Once I've got to look at my handphone so often because I was waiting and hoping the next reply or message would appear as soon as possible.

Even when I'm working, I just couldn't get my eyes of it!
(Yeah, I know it's not professional to do so! But...sometimes I'm just an ordinary human!)

When there was no reply at all, I would feel so upset and felt let down.
I feel so empty when it didn't beep beep anymore......

When I looked at other people getting messages so often, my feelings were even worse!

Mail: Email of course!
(I wonder if there were any people still write letters when they can email?)

When I started to use email, I was so eager to see that there would be new mails for me each time I check my inbox.

Then, I not only wanted to see mails, but I want to see mails which replies and ask me new questions.

I want to be cared for, I guess.

Blogging:

It's a new stuff I'd get to know from newspaper.
I tried blogging.

And it feels good to be able to express myself and share my feelings and thoughts with others!

Now, it's not just about expressing and sharing anymore.
I'm hoping that there will be more bloggers looking or reading through my blog.
I'm hoping to get more comments from either my friends or bloggers.
I just can't forget how happy I am when I've got a comment from you!

Once I come back from work, the first thing I'll check is my blog! Everyday!

I wouldn't deny this. Yes, I want more attention and recognition!

Should I say that I have turned all these desires into habits?

Or should I say I am a "REPLIES" ADDICT?

When you have free time, what would you be doing?

When there are new stuffs around, would you be even of thinking to try them out?

When you can't just continue what you were used to do for quite some times, what would you do then?

Take care, HEALTH!

We will never take care of our body!
We just keep using up the quotas fast!

Before you realise it, you have used up all the quotas!

What happen next?

Taking medicine everyday knowing it will not be cured!
Can't simply eat or drink anything because the effects will be felt soon afterward!
Critically financially burdened!
Families worry!
And hopefully not to become a burden to most beloved family and friends!

And all these shall CONTINUE, UNTIL our quota of life END!
How long is it, or should I say how soon is it?

(2)! Being single, happily(2)!

No matter single, or not available, the most important is the "thought" itself.

We must feel envy, but don't be over jealous.
Must chase our dream aggressively, but not to be too forceful to achieve it.

Whether it's heaven, or it's hell, it depends on your thoughts at that moment.

I'm think most of us have heard of this story:

In hell, there were three hungry people, each of them were trying to feed themselves with their unbendable hand.

In heaven, there were also three hungry people, each of them were using their unbendable hand to feed each other.

I, who now is still single and available, also envy of my friends who have soulmate and children.
I, who now have quite a not so free life (actually, it was I who tried to make my life more busy), also not have anything to be upset about.
I, who now, although is trying to be a happy single, would not give up chances of finding my future partner, aggresively!
HAHAHA!

I'm PAKU-PAKIS

Still remember this plant, it's in the center of the tree, it has long leaves? We used to learned about it during our secondary school!

It survive or feed on other plant. But it won't harm the host plant or mother plant.

I, survive and feed on others' stories everyday!

Well, you might think that I like to gossip. Sorry, I don't like to gossip OFTEN, but OCCASIONALLY only! Hahaha......

Like paku-pakis, I absorb "nutrients" from the stories around me.

And like paku-pakis, I also get "sunshine" from the great stories surrounding me.

Be it useful or harmful "nutrients", they are my "sunshine"!

What happen if I lack of "essential nutrients" or I hunger for more "nutrients"?

I will let go my "spores" to new plants! And grow on the new plants!

Let the new cycle begin!

No parking at the Charity Food Fair!

Today I wanted to go to the Charity Food Fair organized by Eden Handicap Service Centre Berhad, a non-profit Christian run-organisation.

But when I reached there, not just a long queue of cars waiting for parking, no cars were allowed to enter the venue at all. Some just parked their car along the roadside even there's the white line there! For a sometimes coward driver like me who is afraid to get another SAMAN, and too skillFOOL to do a side-parking, I just have to kiss the Charity Food Fair goodbye!

I must give thumbs up for the public who supported the Charity Food Fair because of their great generosity and participation to help the Eden Handicap Service Centre!

Well, since I couldn't be there, I'll just wait for other days to go over there and donate directly. Actually, my mum asks the Eden Handicap Service Centre worker to collect my house old newspaper for recycling for three years already. And we'll continue to support the Eden Handicap Service Centre!

I came to know Eden Handicap Service Centre Berhad through the books of the founder of Eden Social Welfare Foundation in Taiwan, Ms Liu Hsia. Through Ms Liu Hsia's books, I started to know what does Eden means. Her writings inspires me deeply!

If you wish to know more about Eden Handicap Service Centre Berhad in Penang, please visit http://www.edenhandicap.org/

PS: I'm a Buddhist. But it when comes to helping the less fortunates, I know NO religion beliefs+race+nationality! Its the thoughts of helping voluntarily that counts! Thank you!

(1)! Learn to be single, happily(1)!

。。。。。。。。。。

. . . . . . . . . .
How many orange dots are there?
Answer: Ten + Ten seconds pass away!
Previously, time seems to pass by so slowly.
Now, just a while, it's Friday already!
And I almost reach my X's already!
And I'm still single!
What to do?
Instead of being felt troubled, being happy is even better!
Some talents are gifted, some talents are to be learned!
Being a happy single is also a lesson to be learned!
So, what to do then?
I'll write down my "findings" next time.
Environment has no harm or benefit, harm or benefit lies on human oneself.
Law has no kindness or cruelty, kindness or cruelty is the law itself.
By Reveran XING YUN.
(Please forgive for my poor translation in English)
To me,
Enviroment has no hardness or hapiness, hardness or hapiness lies on human oneself.
Way has no limitation, limitation is the way.

My DEAR sons!

A nice lesson!

Last Sunday, I attended a class on how to do a presentation.

Our voluntary facilitator came down all the way from KL just to help us how to present ourselves to the children when teaching dharma class.

I enjoyed the presentation by the facilitator very much because he used all the techniques to make the presentation interesting. He also tells stories and asked us to get involved when he introduced each techniques. In this way, we won't be bored. When he gave comment, it's an encouragement and not posing a threat to the participants. What he taught us had helped me to realize my weaknesses during presentation and know how to improve on it for the sake of my precious.

Before we began our practical presentation, he taught us about eye contact, gesture, positioning, voice, ownership of the environment and ... Alright, we knew all about it, but how well can we master it?

There were only six participants in that class. So, all of us got a chance to present our 2 short minutes presentation. Although it was just a 2 minutes presentation, it seems liked quite a long time for us when we were presenting!

Okay, practical time!

How was my performance?

I was too stiff on my position, I didn't move at all during the whole presentation. My gesture was too small.
And I talked too fast! Talking too fast had been my greatest enemy in presentation since primary school. Until today, I still can't get rid of it. I must try to be more relax and slow down my speech.

The second chance was given and I did some improvement on gesture and did speak slower.

The next day when I go back to my work, I wanted to practice some of techniques. But too bad, I had soar throat! So just wait until I recover lah...

Go to Penang Floral Festival 2007!

Today I went to Penang Floral Festival 2007
ALONE!

No choice lah! My friends here prefer shopping than looking at the flowers mah!

It had been many many years I hadn't step onto Penang Botanic Garden already. I thought there would be less people going there today since the sun was so hot. When I reached there, ALAMAK! so many people and cars! It's very hard to find parking especially for the skillFOOL driver like me. I was thinking 'TO QUIT OR NOT TO QUIT', and then luckily I got a space to park my mini car. So now, I don't have to worry if there was less crowd in the Floral Festival, and being alone was too obvious!

The first section I visited was the Quarry Garden. All the orkids and em.... were there. There was a floral competition there on the first day. I got to see which flowers won the prizes. Those flowers are really lovely.

Some are very complicated. Some are very simple.

And among all, the flower I loved most was the white orkid with big petals. There's no need to add any decoration to the orkids, because the orkids themselves are the ART! It's mother nature wonder!

Then, I proceed to the section of Garden Landscaping. There were about 10? mini garded landscape. I liked one of them most. And to my surprise, my favorite was the first prize winner!

The third section would be Floral Arrangement. The artists used different material to arrange the flowers. The one which used sunflower with the tyre was my favorite! Its very innovative and creative!

The fourth section would be the Floral Market where all kinds of flowers and plants were sold here. Many people were buying them after seeing the beautiful sample of the display here. I wanted to buy the orkid, but I really don't know how to take care of them. So just let other take of it lah!

And not to forget that there was a garden in the Botanic Garden also. Many people were snapping photos with their family member. A little girl was looking at me when I passed by, while her father wanted to snap my photo. So I quickly walked away. What a cute little girl! The garden was decorated with colourful flowers and fountains!

The last section I visited was the Environmental Education....Sorry, forgotten the name. It had all kind of activities there such as showing chromatography of leaves, the padi field, tissue culture demonstration and ...Too bad I couldn't stay there to wait for all the activities to be carried out.

Where are the photos?
Well, I didn't have the camera today because my mum took it to KL.

Let's those beautiful scenery stored in my memory card (my brain)!

Some extra stories:
I heard some said that they should came at the first day of the festival. You know, flowers sometimes are very weak, they might had lost their beauty already when it comes to the end of the festival!

Some said they dare not go to the Quarry Garden because it's a little bit further away from the crowd. So some were afraid to go over there! Just imagine what had the visitor would missed!

And some were wondering if there were any section that they missed out. Because there were no clear map to show all the section in the garden for the floral festival.

Look down!

I always look up but sometimes I must remember to look down also!

The view is different!

Look up!

Do you still remember the days of getting onto and into the "BAS SEKOLAH"( school bus)?

I must say that I love "BAS SEKOLAH" very much!

Other than making new friends and going new places, I love to lie down on the seat and look up to the trees through the big window!
The leaves and the branches are so near and so beautiful, yet I can't reach them!

Those photos are just taken today.

I look up and snap!

Do you know what tree is it?

Monday, May 28, 2007

Just painting (3)

Painted by Kai, 2002
Just a tree in red.

Just painting (2)

I like bamboo especially when they are expressed in chinese painting.

These paintings were paint about two or three years ago.

However, I still can't draw it like what I'd see.

So, one day, I shall go to learn how to paint and draw in chinese painting.

Maybe, when I'm old and got some extra money then...

Just painting (1)

The upper painting was the first painting I draw for fun during my first year.
The lower painting was actually a pocket file I painted when I was in Form 3.
After post it here, I found that both of these paintings do have something in common.
I guess sometimes there are just things that would remain the same even after years have passed.

Alright, get ready for my ending

I don't know how my life will ended up like!
But for sure, one would never escape from "live, old, sickness, and death"!
Time won't spare no body, I have started aging already! (but my heart is still very young oh)
Tiny sickness also started to appear already! (last time, I can even beat a few tiger oh! haha!)
With just a blink of eye, "the end" should also be near by already! (it's just feel horrible even to think of it. There's still a lot of things which I haven't done yet)
No worry, I think it is still enough time if we plan for our ending from now on?
I have taken my first step!
I went to participate in activities related to my job.
Although I have no friends to accompany me, I still have to encourage myself to participate!
As we know, there is no one same person can accompany us forever.
Isn't this is one part of our journey of our life which we have to go through?
Alright, here I go ......
I don't want to wait till all my stamina, both mentally and physically, burned out and just sighed then......

To let go

Let me made myself clear first: I'm not good in caligraphy writing. It's just for fun.

Surprisingly, when I read through the caligraphy writing during my days in yesteryears, I found that I've already told myself about my new journey.

"New journey (inner thought),
made up your mind,
no more addicted ,
for the past has gone"
After I finished reading it, my new life begins...

知。。。(2) Know...(2)

Know "NONE" Know "EMPTY"
Knew about it, but, just couldn't do it......

知。。。(1) Know...(1)

I only knew that there are "knowing satisfied", but don't know there was "knowing stop".
"Knowing stop" was learned from the newspaper.
"Knowing stop. Knowing satisfied"
Know when and how to stop and control at the appropriate time. Know that must remember to remind oneself to feel satistied.

Please, don't force me to be smart!

If someone tells me something about anything, as long as it is logic, I would have no doubts about them.

I choose to trust them.

Do you know why?
Because I believe the human nature is good at all course.

Maybe you'll say, "Please lah, there's no more good or kind human nature anymore in this real world! Wake up lah!"

Yes, I already knew this.
However, sometimes, I refuse to give up hope on human nature.
And, if I always had to think what's behind every words come out from people's mouth, I will be very tire of torturing my mind.

So, I choose to believe their words.

My ending?
Yes, your guess is right!
I was being cheated!

You might say that I'm stupid.
You might say that it was I who willingly to give them the chance to cheat on me! Who to be blamed then?

When next time I turn somebody down,
Please do not blame me for being cold blooded!

Why do you have to force me to be smart?!
WHY!!!!!!

The only story that still give me hope in human nature was a short story in a book I read before.
I couldn't remember the author and the title.

However, the story goes like this:
Once a person won a large sum of money. A poor lady carrying her sick baby and begged that person to help her sick baby. The person gave all his money won to the lady without any second thought. The poor lady, with her sick baby, went away quickly.
Other people saw the person giving away the money to the poor lady and told him,"You have being cheated! The lady always used the same old trick to cheat people!"
Then the person smile and said,"What a good news! There's no sick baby!"

Preparing for the ENDING

When I was a little kid, I stayed opposite a temple.

And that's why my mum ordered us to go to sunday school in the temple.

Live, old , sickness and death were what I knew from the sunday school. However, I was too young to have any thoughts for these four words.

Years has passed. My observations has increased little by little.

The conclusion through my observation may not be the consequences and ending of my experience.

I've started to notice that if I'm lucky enough to have a family of my own, I would spent the rest of my life being a buzy bee for them. It is because I love my family.

When my children grow up, they will each have their own living.

And I would hoped that my soul mate would be still around, accompanying each other until the end of our lives.

I don't know whether will I stay single for the rest of my life, or that I could find my Mr. Right.

No matter how, I think I would stay single in the end.

Although I wish that I would leave this world earlier than my soul mate, but because I truly love him, I would rather see him finishes his life earlier than me. Only then I would really feel without any worry for him.

When I'm the only one left, what should I do then?

My children and my grandchildren won't be always accompanying me, so do my friends!

Saturday, May 19, 2007

No, I couldn't stop...

My father had never let us down.
He always provided us with the best that he could gave it to his family, even when he was very ill.
He never complained and gave up his hope.
He just continues...

My mother always nag.
She was never satisfied with our attitude, because we are just too lazy.
But no matter how long she nag, she wouldn't really stop helping us to reorganized our things.
She just continues...

I don't really have any serious commitment yet.
So, I do have a choice.
I could always just stop at there and do nothing. Or just simply walk away.

But, how could I?

My parents never stopped!

Friday, May 18, 2007

Have you ever think of stop doing something?

Um.....now I have a stable and steady job.

But,

would it be enough to fulfill my current and future expenses?

would it satisfied my mental needs or should I say spiritually needs for years to come?

I don't know.

Somehow, now I just keep pushing myself to move forward and non-stop!

It feels good to excel...

At the same time, however, I just wish everything is just nice and enough. So, I don't have to keep on pushing and motivating myself all the time.

They have high expectation for me. I can't let them down. I must move on.

I never felt demotivated before, even in the toughest time of my job.

I can't say that I'm totally demotivated now. I'm just hoping that my life would be a bed of roses. at least once in a life time.

Who wouldn't? Right?

I just hope to come to a stop where I could really stop myself from over-thinking about taking actions for my present and future life, and doing it!

Tick...tick...tick...and suddenly ................................................

The clock stops to tick.

The time continues to run.

I couldn't turn back the time.

I just have to continue......
to drug myself with purpose, plan, action and motivation!

It's for your own good!"
It's for your own good!"

Its nice to know...

We all have our own opinions.
Sometimes, we just tend to keep it to ourselves.
When we are asked about our opinions, maybe we'll tell our true opinion, or maybe not.

When I'm still very naive, I wouldn't accept any opinion other than mine. Though, today I'm still sometimes behave like that...haha!

However, when I become an observer(or should I say an "outsider") of a discussion group, I really enjoyed it when everybody can truly voice out their opinion. It is because we can learn from each other. But maybe not everybody will feel and think the same.

During a discussion, one might not say this but one might think like this,

"I'm right. You must be wrong!"
"I might not be correct, but so do you!"
"You are not with me, so you are against me!"

But have one ever think of this?:

"What a surprise! I never thought there would be people thinking like this!"
"If I were in their position, would I have said the same thing?"
"I'm right but so might they."
"You are not with me, but you are not against me! Thank you for making my life richer by sharing with me your precious opinions!"

After the discussion, can I forget what our differences that made us argue during the discussion?
Maybe yes. Maybe not.
But I'll try to let it go because I shall and I must remember what was the main purpose of the discussion.
It's for the best not for the worst!

It is nice to know that we do have differences!
To me, the differences made my life filled up with different colours!
To All my precious, thank you very much!

I want or not?

I want it?

I don't want it?

Before I was able to decide, it has gone!

Do I really want it?
Do I really want it just because it's not going to be mine?

Do I really don't want it?
Do I really don't want it after I've consider all the pro's and con's?

I don't know...
I only know that it has already gone!

At the beginning, I felt hurt.
After a while, I have to start to comfort and encourage myself.
After all, it's not there anymore.
What more could I do?

And, I shall remember what I've told myself last year:
"If you want to be happy, then you must not be selfish (or "count less"), be satisfied with what you have, put it down (or let it go), forgive and forget others." [in July, 2006 archive]

So, now, deal with it and it's no big deal anymore!
And in the end, it's not even a deal at all!
Hahahaha!!!

Duty and Responsibility(1)

My parents are still here with me. So I shall treat my parents with filial.
This is my first and foremost important duty and responsibility.

I’ve chosen to be “soul engineer”. Therefore, I must bring my soul to work. Although I couldn’t help all the “soul”, but if there’s only one “soul” that I could helped, that would be enough for me already.

Please remember, it is not you that helped or taught them, it were them who gave you this chance to help each other, to learn from each other, so that you won’t spend this life emptily.
This is my own second chosen duty and responsibility.

All those taste of delicious and expensive food cannot be compared to the taste of common food that I might still be able to eat, without fear, when I’m old.
And the old saying “money can’t by health” is true. Money can enable you to buy medicine, but it will not able to terminate and eliminate your pain and disease.
Able to eat and health have its quota. Only by being satisfied and happy with what we got, and use these quotas wisely, then we will not be so helpless when we are old.
This is my own third chosen duty and responsibility.

The “soul” has the meaning of “…..”. You should know it if you know what my job is! Hehehe….

Painted by Kai Teh, 2007

1 Painted by Kai Teh, 2007

2 Painted by Kai Teh, 2007

I can't translate the great sayings in the book "静思语1" by veteran "Zheng Yan" (证严法师) accurately and precisely and moreover, my English vocabulary is very limited.
But to me, it sounds like this "when our heart is lost, we would feel very hard (or bitter). It is hard (or bitter) because I can't decide by myself."
I'm this type of person.
For most of the time, I dare not decide by myself.
I've always liked to ask others' opinion. And for more, I'll go for fortune telling.
Everytime when I'm "undecisive", I only need to think of or see this phrase, I'll again have the courage to think carefully, and then made decision as well as to force myself to be responsible for it!
It is because the phrase before this phrase (by veteran 证严法师) sounds like this "inculcate the courage and endurance to face reality, use a happy heart to accept all the occurence, don't just simply go for fortune telling."

graduation flower photo

Me, with my new digicam, took this bouquet of flower, which is a gift from my aunt for my convocation.
Congratulation to me!

My Chinese New Year Paintings (2003-2005)

Painted by Kai Teh, 2003

The painting with green plant or what my mum call it "Guan Yin Bamboo" was the first plant I brought to university with me during my first year. I had to bring it to and fro from my house when the semester breaks came. However, this plant was already dead (don't know which semester already)! It was also a visible mark for my friends to recognise me because I put the bamboo beside my beg! The bamboo made me stand out from the crowd. My friend actually spotted me in a bus because of my plant! Haha! This bamboo had accompanied me during Chinese New Year 2003!

Actually, this painting was not completed. I should had painted the water in the vase (ice cream cup) too. But because of mood and time, I just left it like that. The writing was added later too when I bought the new brush for caligraphy writing.
Painted by Kai Teh, 2004(5?)
The second painting, with the oranges, was also painted before Chinese New Year. Actually, I would like to paint it with red colour because Chinese New Year is full of red colour. However, I was thinking like, um, back in the very very old days, would they be just using the black ink only? And I want to create a feeling like the Chinese New Year was celebrated in a very very old, tradition and moderate ways. The only thing that I was not satisfied with this painting was the word " 春 ". I shouldn't have overlap the word on the oranges. I should have let the word be incomplete so it seem more realistic.
Well, the paintings were just all about my mood! So, just let it be...not so perfect.

My first out of box painting 1996

Painted by Kai Teh, 1996

As I tidy up my things, I can't find any of my exam papers with flying colours (with red or blue)! I only keep my drawing book and paintings of my secondary school years. Many of my painting and drawing were lost when I moved to my new house. I really regretted that I only come to realize that the things that I valued most, other than friendship and memories, was my work of art (the art here means drawings, paintings...etc but does not mean 'masterpiece').

I'm not an artist. I admit that I don't have the natural talent like others to draw and paint wonderfully, but I did and still do enjoy painting and doing things related to art nowadays! In fact, when I'm in primary and secondary school, the subject I liked most was art! I felt much appreciated if my paintings were hang on the notice board. I would be very happy and proud if my family members and friends praise me for my paintings. And, it is the only subject that I would go around asked for opinion from all my family members. Back then, art to me was all about appraisal and, ... marks, of course!

Now, when I'm not schooling anymore, art just made me feel relax. Sometimes, by painting, it released me from stress and boredom too! I don't force myself to paint certain objects, it's just all about my mood, inspiration and free time at that moment!

As you can see, the title of the painting was 'Suhu Warna' which means the temperature of the colour. It was during Form 3, that my teacher asked us to paint according to the title. I'd always wanted to paint something against the usual real colour in our life, but there were just no suitable title for it (except when I'm in kindergarten and primary school, where almost everything is suitable and acceptable to me).

I tried this title by using the colours that made us feel hot and warm (according to the book, of course), then.....ta da! This painting came out as one of my most valued painting!

5/6/2002

I made the third choice.

Suddenly, in front of me, there were only two things left: Greedy and Stupidity.
I want to be an intelligent person, so I’ve decided to be ‘greedy’.
Because I want to be greedy*, therefore I’ve chosen… ‘payback’.
Payback, of course, isn’t what I’ve wanted.
But I’ve forgotten that the terms & conditions apply for greedy is ‘payback’.
Luckily, payback had come to me.
Payback reminded me of these terms & conditions for choosing greedy, which what I’ve hungered for.
And since then, I started to re-think, started to force myself to be satisfied with what I’ve got now.
But, greedy never stated clearly when payback will be ended…

My valuable experience during selling cars (2)

Summary of my experience:

3. I must make sure that I NOTE DOWN the date of any installment that should be paid in my schedule. And I must pay ON TIME for all the installment.

Sometimes, we tend to forget on which date we must pay for our installment. Sometimes, we are just to buzy to spend a little bit of time to pay. Sometimes, we think it's alright to pay late. I'm still paying, right? So, what's wrong? Well, there's nothing wrong about it until you want to apply for a new loan. If you are the boss, would you consider to approve one's loan if he/she doesn't pay on time for most of the time? Would you have the fear that one day he/she might not able to pay back for you if he/she don't plan their spending habit properly?

4. I must NOT be a GUARANTOR to X (anybody) unless I have prepare that sum of money in case if X does not have the ability to pay anymore or RUNAWAY!

Please refer to my previous post of the consequences of being a guarantor: "I want to buy...Could you please help me..."

My valuable experience during selling cars (1)

I've always wanted to work in other field before starting to teach because I want to tell my students what's the real world is like. Although I have not see all of the real world, at least I know very little about it. Now, it seems like these experience are not only useful to them, it's also benefiting to me as well for my future.

Here are the summary of my experience:
1. Before I want to buy something, I'll make sure there will be an OFFICIAL RECEIPT issued to me when I pay.
If not, forget about buying that thing! Do you know why? Because if the thing you buy is not delivered to you, you have NO PROVE that you have paid for the thing you buy! Then, whom can you complaint to without any prove? Be alert, even the salesperson is your very own cousin or good friend!

2. I MUST BANK-IN my SALARY even my salary is paid with cash.
When you want to apply for loan, the bank will look at your income with prove such as payslip and bank statement (e.g: how much money in bank-in & withdraw from your account). If you are the officer, would you consider to approve one's loan if he/she can't show you any prove of income in black and white? Unless you have decided that you are not going to apply for any loan in the future for buying car or house or so on, PLEASE, PLEASE spend some time to bank-in your income for your future sake.

I'm very proud & lucky for being a SALESGIRL (2)

Before I joined the sales profession, I never analysed what people had in their thoughts. So, many times, my friends knew that I'm "blur, blur all the time". Hahaha! And yes, it was true, I just let everything pass by without analysing.

When I'm selling, my senior taught me how to judge a person whether he is interested to buy or not just by observing his body languange when he just step into the showroom. Do you know why my senior taught me this technique? Yes, because I served all the customers as if they can buy without any judgement. Of course, there's nothing wrong with this attitude. It's just that he felt it like just wasting my time. And to my surprise, his experience of reading customer's body languange was correct for most of the time (there's still some exception of body languange, and which cost me to lost my sales for simply judging body languange)!

Besides analysing body language, I've started to analyse the response of customers to my introduction of the product. After some times, I knew what were the things that attract certain customers. So now, its quite easy to make effective introduction to attract customers. And from time to time, I learned how to sharpen my skills of analysing (but still not very sharp yet).

My father and brother recommend some books of selling to me. After reading them, I did apply some of the techniques and analysed after the sales. Those techniques really worked! If I dare to ask the right questions, I would find out what were the customers really needed. From there, I can close the sales more easily!

I always think that selling is an easy job. Selling is a job that only require you to talk to customers, have the luck to get the sales and that's all. Now, to me, selling is not simple anymore but yet it still can be very easy. It's not just solely depend on luck, but how you analyse and plan for it to success! Just selling or successful selling depends on how you work on it!

I'm very proud & lucky for being a SALESGIRL (1)

For the past eight months, I'd been selling cars.

I started without any experience at all. Until today, I'd been the top sales person (not just only among salesgirl) for the past few months. Although the money I earned was not up to my expectation, the experiences will be my most valuable thing that I ever earned, ever!

Before I enter the sales profession, I was a shy person. I couldn't get along with people easily and I also felt so shy to talk to boys or man. When I'm selling cars, I must force myself to talk to all kind of people (no matter they are old or young, man or woman, boy or girl, or even kids). I've to listen and talk to them without feeling shy, afraid or without convidence. If not, will they buy cars from me? So, listening and conversation is the most important part of my investment.

I can't feel shy to listen and talk just because I don't know that person. I must take it easy and naturally so that my customers won't feel awkward, strange, or feel that I didn't respect them! And I tell myself, "I'm just giving the information needed by customers, and asking for the right questions so that I can help my customers and hopefully will get the sales. Because I'm not cheating or using tactics that I can't accept such as dressing sexily to attract my customers to buy. So, there is nothing to be shameful of! It is just a proper job that requires the sales person to communicate with the customers." That is why now I'm not shy of talking to strangers that I have to meet, be it man or woman. If I don't communicate, how would I ever get the information needed? I will not bother how the others think of me because of my job. By the way, it is a legal job!

Selling cars (& sanitary pads for just two months) had helped me to be a person who is much more mature in terms of communication. It also made me to stand firmly for my own thoughts. And here, I must thank my father and auntie who had given me the chance to experience the sales job. If not for them, I wouldn't have all these today! Thank you! And to all my friends who is doing sales now, I wish you all the best! And for those who will be joining sales job in the future, I will respect and support you!

It's alright to be late!

Once, a few of them came in late. And I said,
"Maybe you think it's alright to be late a little bit, because it's none of my business. And yes, there's really nothing concern me whether you are late, or you are not here at all! I just have to give you some advice as it is my duty to do so. You will be forgiven and there's no impact to you."
And they laughed.
I said again,
"When you are working in the real world, you will hear no more nagging or advice. Because your boss will only say to you,"You are fired!". And that's it. And that's all."
"Would you blame your boss for fired you just because you were late?"
"If you are the boss, would you hire somebody who came to work late?"
You should know what they answered, right?
"Before I leave this room, I just want to tell you: Your business is none of my business, but it is YOUR BUSINESS to decide whether you want to GET the BUSINESS or NOT!"
